AI Rampage
AI is on a rampage, both creative and destructive. Everyday I see a stunning new feature, a new capability that boggles the mind. The creative possibilities are already endless.
Our imaginations are infinite but some ideas defy manifestation. That reality is fading away, washed out by a blinding new star. And yet on the other side of this tsunami, after it passes, we feel as if we have been handed a magic wand. One that was left on our door step one night. And like a curious child we have quickly discovered its awesome power and none of the responsibility.
Everyday we understand a little more that it is a tool of great power and destruction. Simply point it somewhere and state whether it should create or destroy.
It all seems inevitable. But then so does new daily bag of internet melting security threats. I can create an stunning image, video or software on demand, but when I need to walk to the bank to access my money because it's too dangerous for bank accounts to be online or the local power plant has been hacked and I have no electricity for days, what will I think of this little wand in my hand.
